The internship programme offers an exciting opportunity to committed
woodworkers. This period of study allows students the scope to refine and
develop their own individual direction as fine woodworkers. It will also
provide an opportunity for students to undertake their own commissioned
projects with the advice and guidance of practicing woodworkers and tutors,
and full access to the facilities & resources of the centre. Further, it is
anticipated that participants during this time will be drawn from other
schools, woodworking backgrounds and environments, generating a rich level
of professional stimulation and mutual support within a highly creative
environment. Entry to this module is on the basis of application and
selection. Places will be allotted first to students who have completed the
first and second modules of our full time programme, as well as graduates
from other fine-woodworking programmes, but we welcome applications from
all interested parties including teachers seeking sabbatical experience and
practicing experienced woodworkers.
